Arsene Wenger again seems confident on the team. He may think that the club can climb the “two stairs” which is necessary for winning the title this season. The first match to ascent is on Sunday at Liverpool and Robin van Persie and Cesc Fabregas will not be playing.

Wenger said recently, “I believe we have a good chance [to win the title]… The most important thing is that we have that belief. We finished third last season, so we have two stairs to climb and I am confident that we can do it”

The pre-season preparations of Arsenal was satisfactory. The last game was a win with 6-5 at Legia Warsaw. But meanwhile there were too much speculations over the future of captain Cesc Fabregas and his prolonged absence.

After the World Cup, midfielder Fabregas and key striker Van Persie did not played in the traning camp in Australia and also in the Emirates Cup tournament.
