English Premier League big name Arsenal seems contemplating on Udinese goalkeeper Samir Handanovic but the popular stopper is still to get any offer from Gunners, the player’s agent has confirmed.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is searching for a goalkeeper who can compete with Manual Almunia and Lukasz Fabianski. It has been reported that out of many goalkeepers Slovenian international Handanovic’s name is in the mind of Mr. Wenger but there is no official confirmation that the goalkeeper has got a offer from the club.

Handanovic’s agent, Federico Pastorelli said that the player is still to be approached by Arsenal and denied claims that the club already offered the Slovenian goalkeeper.

He said: “No, absolutely not. I received a couple of calls from colleagues in Italy asking me about Arsenal, but the rumours are wrong because I have not received any phone calls from the club. Nobody from Arsenal has called me and I checked with Udinese and they told me nobody from Arsenal had called them. In this case I would say the rumours were rubbish.”

Fedrico said that Slovenian goalkeeper is one of the top goalkeepers in the world and Gunners are looking for someone like him. However, he denied any confirmation about Arsenal interest on Handanovic.

Pastorelli accepted that if any offer comes from the Premier League giants than it would certainly be tempting.

“It is quite clear that to move away from Udinese it would have to be a top club, and I would say there are only eight clubs who he would want to sign for, and Arsenal are a top club,” the agent confirmed.

It is reported that German giants Bayern Munich is also interested in 26-year-old goalkeeper.
