Arsene Wenger has defended his post match words about Ryan Shawcross’s attack that broke the leg of Aaron Ramsey.

The opinion of Frenchman regarding the accident was not changed ever after a week.

Wenger acknowledges the importance of tough tackling but he is in the right that players should remain disciplined

Moreover, he admired the commitment of English game and demanded discipline and fair play.

He said tackling is an art but getting physical and breaking legs, is not the way to defend your side. We have witnessed some good tackling is this tournament but making some one hurt is just not fair. This goes good for all the players including Arsenal.

Arsenal ultimately beaten Stroke by 3-1 and might displace Chelsea in the ranking of Premier league with a four goal victory over Burnley. Wenger is confident that his players will put Ramsey’s controversy aside and concentrate on winning the title.

Wenger said that this win over Stroke was imperative and proved good to us for the rest of the season. All that matters for winning is how much we are consistent and how good we perform from start till end.
