Wenger advised Denilson to handle the ball when injured
Talking to reporters Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger revealed that he had advised Gunner’s midfielder Denilson to handle the ball and stop the play whenever he injured during a match.

In the Saturday’s game with Everton at Emirates, the Brazilian midfielder suddenly fell after feeling pain even though no player had tackled him. The game still played on and almost scoring a third goal for Everton.
Wenger cleared that he had no problem with playing going on but admitted that he advised his players to stop playing after a foul.
Talking to reporters Arsene Wenger said: “I said to Denilson afterwards: ‘If that happens [again] you have to commit a handball.’
“I’m very serious. If you go down, and there hasn’t been a foul, you cannot ask Everton to stop their counter-attack and not to score.”
“So, if you go down like that, at least put your hand on the ball and it’s a free-kick.”
Meanwhile when asked about the midfielder Fran Merida moving from Emirates to Spain, Wenger expressed his concern. Wenger is also concerned about the lack of involvement over the youngster’s new contract.
“We have not progressed there,” he stated. “I’m concerned, yes.”
