Martin O’Neil Breaks Smug Of Wenger By Tongue Lashing
Aston Villa’s firebrand manager Martin O’Neil gives Arsene Wenger a tongue lashing saying the Frenchman is getting “carried away with his own importance”. This is the second verbal attack by Aston Villa’s manager at Arsene Wenger.

The Ulsterman couldn’t control his temper after the comments made by Wenger that Villa were a “long-ball team”, following the two clubs’s goalless draw at Villa Park in midweek. Incidentally, Aston Villa has paved a nice way to the League Cup final this season under the guidance of Martin O’Neil.
He told the Sun: “[Arsene] Wenger has an opinion on everything. There is not a subject in this world at this minute – whether its political, religious, anything – that he does not have an opinion on.
“He does say things for effect. You can get carried away with your own importance, you really can, and sometimes he does.”
In a furious attack to Wenger O’Neil said he was not disconcert by his own remark against Frenchman. He said he retaliated because Wenger comments against his team on Wednesday, and he did looking for him.
“He has made a great contribution to the game here [in England] but he is not on a different planet.” He said.
He said that Arsene Wenger tried to prove that everyone who was under his spell should consider Arsenal was the only charming team around and all others were not worthy enough.
Aston Villa is going through a smooth ride with an unbeaten track in seven games in all competitions after beating Fulham 2-0 at Craven Cottage on Saturday. Arsenal will be aiming to edge over Manchester United when the two giants meet at the Emirates.
