It is now seen that Arsenal is trying to strengthen its defences. It is on the brink of it after the free transfer signing of the veteran defender Sol Campbell.

Sol Campbell, 35-year-old, is well prepared to complete a sensational return to the Arsenal Football Club after enough of insisting that he is even till now good for the Premier League football.

It seems that Arsene Wenger, Arsenal boss, has taken a gamble on the centre-back, who will be rejoining the Gunners where he contributed to winning the 2004 Premier League title.

Sol Campbell said to the media, “I’ve missed it and I’ve a gut feeling this is the right move.”

According to The Sun, Campbell also added, “I do believe I can contribute. I really have my confidence and fitness back.”

Sol Campbell had played for 45 minutes on Tuesday evening in the Gunners reserve side against the West Ham United. This was the first appearance of Campbell for any Gunners’ side since May 2006.
