Arsenal Eyes On Croatian Striker Mario Mandzukic

Arsenal remains the top scorers of Premier League despite Chelsea swept away performance against Sunderland, resulted 7-2 one sided victory. The success of being topped motivates Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger so much that he is now looking for a striker to strengthen their offense.

The zeal leads Wenger to Croatia and ultimately club Dinamo Zagreb’s forward Mario Mandzukic. It has been reported that main forwards Nicklas Bendtner and Robin van Persie are currently sidelined due to injury. Wenger option is now only depend on Andrey Arshavin and Eduardo. The only potent options he has now.

Ironically, Arsenal Eduardo was bought by the club and Mandzukic replaced for Dinamo. It is now contemplating that Arsene is now looking for 23 years old Croatia’s forward. However, a report claims that Wenger speculates on the striker’s performance and not completely convinced by him. In fact, Arsenal manager himself has admitted that finding a good striker is quite difficult. Yes, it is as true as winning free bets.

Wenger said: “I am thinking about signing a striker but I must confess I am not close to doing anything because I do not find a player who can convince me.”

Arsenal take on Bolton Wanderes on Sunday and two strikers Eduardo and Arshavin is expected to highlight in the match, though Wenger confirmed that Russian marksman is still struggling with a foot problem.

“Andrey [Arshavin] has had a foot injury and has not been able to kick the ball well,” he added.

“His movement around the box is very intelligent and it is how strikers move around the box that makes the difference.”
