Gallas may not play the match against Chelsea
During the Champions League win on Tuesday with 2-0 over the Standard Liege, Gallas clashed heads with Andrei Arshavin. He got ankle injury and was substituted at half-time but it seems that his eye may stop him to play against his former club Chelsea.

The manager Arsene Wenger said, “There is a big question mark about him at the moment. The ankle should be all right but the eye is still very, very, very swollen.”
If Gallas is not able to play in the forthcoming match then it will be a considerable blow for Arsenal. We know that the Gunners have also lost left-backs Gael Clichy and Kieran Gibbs recently due to injury.
Gallas along with Thomas Vermaelen have started all the Premier League and Champions League matches this season.
Talking about Chelsea, the injury rate is high.
Frank Lampard recently came through a complete training session. He is certain to start against Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Stan Kroenke further increased his stake in Arsenal after he spent another £170,000 on 20 shares.
Now he is short of 40 shares of reaching the 30 per cent mark. This will oblige a formal takeover bid.
