Arsenal beats Tottenham, Wenger delighted
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believed that his squad worth 3-0 win over the Tottenham in the north London derby.
He was very thankful to the two main Robin van Persie and Cesc Fabregas. They were on hand taking the advantage of mistakes by the Spurs defence by the half-time and the goals came just 50 seconds apart.
He said to the media, “It was the kind of game where both teams lacked fluidity in the first 25 minutes.”
Wenger also added, “We took advantage of two opportunities and that changed the game completely – it could have been four or five. We should have scored more. “
He further said that the back five extremely did well and his team did not give a single chance and even during the tough time in the game his players kept them in it. Wenger also added that if there were any mistake then the opponent would had taken advantage of them.
Arsenal boss also have a believes that the result is definitely an evident that the Gunners are very much capable this season of launching a sustained assault for the Premier League title.
He said, “Our club deserves a lot of credit – a derby is a very different game no matter how good you are… It shows we can prepare and turn up for the game every time.”
