Thomas Vermaelen, the defender of Arsenal, expresses his disappointment at throwing away a lead of his side by two-goal draw with the West Ham United.

By half-time Arsenal were winning 2-0 but conceded 2-goal in the second half late to drop two points.

According to Thomas Vermaelen, the referee gave the wrong decision of awarding the West Ham team a penalty after the trip of Alex Song on Carlton Cole.

Vermaelen said, “I’m very disappointed. I think we should win today. Two goals out of nothing I think”

He further added, “In my point of view I think the referee made a big decision by deciding it was a penalty. I thought it was no penalty, so I’m very disappointed.”

Vermaeloen also mentioned that they were 2-0 up and also they were comfortable but in the second half of the game though they didn’t give any chance away to West Ham, the opponent scored two times out of nothing and this makes it really bad.
