Slaven Bilic has sympathy for Eduardo over the ban

Eduardo now receives support from Slaven Bilic, manager of the Croatian national team. The striker has been handed a 2-match ban by UEFA. He has been punished by UEFA for attempting to “deceive the referee” in a match against Celtic at Emirates Stadium.

Slaven Bilic fails to see how Eduardo could face this ban. Bilic was more than likely suffered at the hands of simulation when he was a former central defender with Hajduk Split, Karlsruhe, West Ham United and also the Everton.

He said to a daily, “We are talking about a player who is a role model of a sportsman… I simply cannot understand how he can be punished.”

The Croatian manager is set to select the Arsenal striker for Croatia’s World Cup qualifier with England on 9th of September.
