Nicklas Bendtner, the Arsenal and Danish national team striker, has put his famous pink football boots and a signed Denmark national team jersey up for auction on eBay.com to raise money for sick children.

Bendtner wore the boots when he scored the decisive goal in a Champions League match between Arsenal and Dynamo Kiev at the Emirates Stadium in London in November 2008. The victory secured Arsenal participation in the eighth finals.

Bendtner wore the national team jersey on Saturday when he scored Denmark’s goal in a 1-1 draw against Portugal in a World Cup qualification match in Copenhagen.

The latest bid on eBay for the boots was $931 with 26 bids entered, and the latest offer for the jersey $860 after 28 bids.

The proceeds from the auction, which runs until Sept. 12, will go to the Danish charity cycling team, Team Rynkeby, which supports a fund for children with cancer, a spokesman for Team Rynkeby said.

The pink boots and jersey will be sold separately.
