Wenger’s faith among youngsters gave a perfect start
The 6-1 victory of Arsenal at Everton was the perfect start in the Premier League. But there is one big cloud hovering over the fans. Will the young team have the same power and performance to stay later in the season when the title are being handed out.
The victory on Saturday at the Goodison Park was impressive and it also appeared justifying Arsene Wenger’s faith in the young talent and his refusal to buy new and experienced players.
Arsenal’s this victory was against that team which finished fifth in the last season and had reached the FA Cup final. The youngsters of Wenger repeatedly sliced through the Everton midfield and defence. They of course, not to forget, scored top quality goals in that style for which Arsenal has become famous for.
Arsene Wenger said, “From being told we were not competitive before the game to now being told we are super-favourites is strange.” He continued by saying, “But it is right to say that this is just the first game and we aim to continue to give our best.”
The best thing what Arsene Wenger badly require now is that Arsenal repeat performances like this even in the tough part of the season when the pressure will be on and his young players have a habit of wilting.
