Wenger was always happy with his squad

Arsene Wenger, the manager, gave a hint yesterday that there may be something left for his summer transfer business still. He also mentioned that most of the managers to whom he had spoken on this subject also are looking for the same sort of player.

In all these discussion the player in question is a quality defensive midfielder. He said that there are not too much of quality defensive midfielder available.

This summer only Belgian central defender Thomas Vermaelen has been added and he says that he may add further defensive reinforcements soon.

Wenger also mentioned that should he not make any more purchases then he will be happy enough with the squad he already has.

On the official website of Arsenal, Wenger said, “[Will there be] much transfer movement? Certainly not. Any? Maybe, but certainly not much.”

He also added that he was always happy with his squad. He mentions that they are of quality and it is a big squad too.

He continued further in a brief to journalists that now the moment Abou Diaby hasn’t played until the other night and they have Tomas Rosicky, Eduardo, Samir Nasri and there are plenty of offensive players who are still not there.

He says Carlos Vela is still injured and he is not playing so they have plenty of possibilities. He added that offensively they don’t think that they need to strengthen the squad.
