A penalty win may put Eduardo in problem, SFA demanded action
Action may be taken against Eduardo. The Scottish FA demanded for it. This Croatian striker of Arsenal had won a penalty in the second-leg of the Champions League play-off match after feigning contact with Artur Borum, the Celtic keeper.
Gordon Smith, the Scottish FA Chief Executive, said, that he (Eduardo) showed disrespect to the game by his actions against Celtic.
The former Rangers player said that they have shown courage to use retrospective punishment for simulation. He also added that he would urge UEFA to do so in this instance.
Meanwhile the manager of Arsenal, Arsene Wenger, refuse to accept that his player conned the referee but at the same time he also does believe any contact may have been minimal.
He said, “I am not sure that the keeper didn’t touch him with his right knee, having seen it again.” He added further by saying that he does not want a penalty that is not a penalty in fact, but he also does not go as far as to say Eduardo dived.
