Purchased the away shirt? Your reviews!
.
Well it has been several days since the release of the new 09/10 away t-shirt. Many people have discussed and talked about it as seen on the internet.
We want the proper opinions of fans who have went out and purchased the t-shirt. Personally i love it, it’s pretty smart and comfortable. Although i prefer the old yellow colour theres not much i can complain about on the new away shirt. Leave us your opinions!

its slick
Sucks. Looks moar like Tottnam
The collared shirts look great, very smart.
Makes a nice change from tradition and the home shirts are still “red and white” …….so whats the big deal with all the haters? get over it.
Really smart, even got an admiring comment from a lady on my way to the gym so it can’t be bad. Also goes well with jeans so it’ll be smart when going to matches or watching down the pub. Yeah, the yellow and blue kit looked the absolute nuts (mainly because it made me think of 89 EVERYTIME I wore it!) but this it a fair replacement in my eyes. I can’t say the same for the 3rd kit though, just because I’ve never warmed to the redcurrent (just call it bloody burgundy ffs!)
Well HAppy, Pre ordered it ages ago coz it looked so good, At Last a collar, Im not a fan of round necs dont suit me, buy em but dont wear em.
Gonna get the white one an all, looks equally as good. nice pinstripe design.
We must have a new design team. Fair Play to em!!
Up the Gunners
its crap.looks to much like a shirt/ok if your posh.the neck bit is nasty.why dont they keep the neck the same as others
This third kit is beyond disappointing. I just cannot believe that the Board of Directors, Arsene and the players would have ever sanctioned such a poor choice for a third kit. Herbert Chapman would be furious!!!
And those of you who like it are obviously recent bandwagon gooners and don’t have much sense of history for this football club. Can you imagine AC Milan having a blue and black striped away shirt? Or Rangers having a green and white striped number? It just wouldn’t happen because someone somewhere with some sense of pride and dignity would have said “No!”
I have no issues with the club releasing new shirts every year as it raises much needed revenue but this is just a step too far. It’s an incredibly important decision that has been made in a Nike executive’s office in Beaverton Oregon or Hilversum Holland, without any due diligence or acknowledgement of the history of the club.
If Nike had taken a poll at the last home game and asked 100 gooners what they thought I doublt more than 10% would have said they liked it. I would have thought it was a practical joke from Soccer Am or something.
And if you’re all excited that you can wear it around town and not look like a football fan, then buy a nice Arsenal polo shirt instead.
As for people saying “oh you’ll love it if we win in it!” Of couse Arsenal fans enjoy any victory but it won’t suddenly make me think “Oh yeah, it looks nothing like the scum from up the road at all, what was I thinking?”
Arsenal FC has a proud tradition and this kit is disrespectful to that tradition.
well said yellowquad.
yellow quad gooner… calm urself it’s only a top… if u dont like it stick wit the home one
i like it i think it looks smart i wont be buying the 3rd one though
YellowQuad are you 12 – stop talking history if all you can remember is what you saw on colour TV. We have always won in white, have a history in white and are class in white. The same in yellow or any colour for that matter. Shit read a book on it.
Bank of England Club in Pinstripes, naturally.
What we don’t have is a dead chicken for a badge and no future.
Take a look at this site: http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Arsenal/Arsenal-change-kits.html. For all of you spitting jibes about history and what not, it appears we did at some point in our history, wear those colours. A shirt is a shirt, and if it looks good, then wear it. AC Milan may not change its stripes this year or next, but if they do in three or so, what will you say then? Barca have changed their away strips, and even changed their home design last year. What is all the fuss about? It strikes me as though some guys just love to bash the club in a bid to sound intelligent or knowledgeable of the club’s history. Well, it seems we really don’t know that much of our beloved club’s history…maybe it’s time we start making some of our own.
yeah love the blue shirt, it smart as!
i will definetly be picking this up
funny how they didn’t make last seasons away shirt our 3rd jersey considering how poor we were in
i plan on getting it… i’ve never had a long sleeve jersey though and was thinking i would make this one my first. any details you can give me about long sleeve?
