Negotiations for Melo not began yet

Fiorentina is very open to the sale of Felipe Melo to Arsenal, but both parties are yet to sit around the table.
The Italian side issued a statement today confirming the 25-year-old’s current contract holds a €25million (£21.4m) buy-out clause and it would be ideal to do business with any interested club.
Fiorentina Director Pantaleo Corvino would prefer Emmanuel Eboue as an inclusion is a swap deal which may also see Arsenal pay an additional sum.
But it appears all agreements being made between AFC Fiorentina and Arsenal FC are only verbal.
Therefore, Melo’s representative, Jose Rodriguez Baster, stresses that no negotiations have began between the two clubs and as it remains, Melo – the object of purchase – will not become a ’sold item in the shop’.
He may be Arsenal-bound, but Melo’s move is far from finalized. Paper works will have to begin first.
Baster said: “We are not negotiating with any club, if a team is interested in the player they must first find an agreement with Fiorentina,”
“There is much talk about Felipe because he has enjoyed a great season. But we are not dealing with any club.”

Ok man. I live very far away from the Emirates (different continent to be honest). Never been there before.
But I will suggest you go on Sunday. Reason?
It is the day the trophy is handed and whether Arsenal is playing first or not, you will find the players at the stadium whether playing or awaiting in the stands (unlike Satuday when one team plays and leaves or you come too early/late for the other who may be hurrying to get on the pitch)
But the fact is, the players are often around the stadium anyways on both days.

If melo signs, that’s the end for one of song, denilson or diaby. Arsene is bound to go for the ‘develop-one-the-young-players-into-the-DF-role’ approach rather than spend big. with rosicky, cesc, nasri, arshavin, RVP and theo all fit, we’ll be in with a real shout for the premiership

Arsenal offered 8m plus Senderos, Melo made it clear he wanted to leave, Fiorentina didn’t think it was enough and have since asked Melo to remain loyal (in a sense of signing a new contract to put the get out fee at a lot higher than it previously was) he signed a year extension and got approx half a mill signing on fee, now the get out fee is higher arsenal have had to offer more cash and are trying to throw in Eboue as part of the deal which Firoentina are not interested in as they have other targets to replace Melo, namely Veloso…Expect Arsenal to complete the signing tail end of next week.
