Defender Kolo Toure officially signs for Manchester City on a 4 year deal for a reported £16m. It’s a shame that he has left us, no one wanted to see him go like Adebayor. This was a totally different situation to deal with.

Although some may say he was past it and it may have been a good time for us to cash some big money for him of the rich Manc’s

Report from Sky Sports follows.

Kolo Toure has signed a four-year deal at Manchester City for a fee reported to be in the region of £16million, Sky Sports News understands.

The former Arsenal defender agreed personal terms at Eastlands earlier on Wednesday and successfully passed a medical later in the day.

A severance package, which was thought to be a stumbling block, for Toure has now been agreed with the Gunners and the Ivory Coast star has completed his move.

City boss Mark Hughes has already signed midfielder Gareth Barry and forwards Roque Santa Cruz, Carlos Tevez and Emmanuel Adebayor this summer.

The Welshman has now turned his attention to his defence and, after failing in attempts to sign Chelsea captain John Terry, has captured Toure.

Everton’s Joleon Lescott is thought to be next on City’s wanted list after a bid of £15million was rejected by the Toffees earlier in July.

Hughes is understood to be ready to table an improved offer to the Goodison Park hierarchy for the England defender.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has clear, and much more after the sentence Manuel Pellegrini on him: “Hunteelar have no place in this team.”

El delantero holandés cuanta con varios pretendientes en el mercado, aunque tras rechazar la millonaria oferta que el Stuttgart presentó por él parece que ‘El Cazador’ tiene entre ceja y ceja la Premier League. The Dutch striker how several suitors in the market, but after rejecting the offer that the millionaire Stuttgart presented it seems that ‘The Hunter’ is between eyebrow eyebrow and the Premier League.

Hasta el momento el Tottenham es el equipo británico que más interés había mostrado por él, pero en las últimas horas el Arsenal de Wenger aprieta fuerte por el ariete blanco. So far the British team Tottenham is the most interest was shown by him, but in the last hours of Wenger Arsenal pressed hard for the ram mode.

The millions paid by the transfer of the City Adebayor seems to have encouraged the ‘Gunners’ to go for Hunteelaar, and according to published newspaper’ Sunday Express’ Arsenal’s offer for the Dutch be around 17.3 million euros.

Otro jugador que tiene en la recámara el Arsenal para reforzar su punta de ataque es el joven brasileño Wellington (Fluminense), un jugador al que siguen muy de cerca Barcelona, Real Madrid y Manchester United.
Arsenal are confident of landing Real Madrid striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar ahead of Tottenham.

The best news I’ve heard all day. I’m not even worried about how much we have to outbid Spurs for him as i think even if we matched or offered a little lower he would still choose Arsenal over them.

I mean what can Tottenham offer him apart from 10th place in the league every season.

Huntelaar would be a brilliant signing for Arsenal. Not only a good friend of Robin van Persie, but a great finisher and a ready made striker for his age.

He fits the bill, let’s sign him Mr Wenger, before it’s too late!

Arsenal are confident of landing Real Madrid striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar ahead of Tottenham.

The Sun says the Dutchman, 26, has turned down Stuttgart in favour of a move to the Premier League.

And the Gunners are confident they can outbid Tottenham with an offer of £16.5million.

Huntelaar returns to Real’s training camp today and the Spaniards want his future sorted out by the end of next week.

Huntelaar’s agent Arnold Oosterveer said: “We want the best option for the kid without taking too much time over it. Now the decision rests with Real.”

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is targeting another African star in the shape of Obafemi Martins after Emmanuel Adebayor departed for Manchester City, according to The People.

Reports suggest Newcastles Obafemi Martins is a target for Arsene Wenger now the departure of Adebayor has taken place. For me there are both negative and possitive things i can say about this striker.

On a negative side, he has always looked a good finisher from what i have seen, but like many inconsistant strikers it takes him one out of five chances to score. However this could of just been his bad form at Newcastle. Playing around a shit team with no solid players around him and not settling.

On a positive side, Newcastle have just been related from the Premier League so it would be a chance to get him on the cheap. Full report follows.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is targeting another African star in the shape of Obafemi Martins after Emmanuel Adebayor departed for Manchester City, according to The People.
The Togolese forward left to join the revolution at City of Manchester Stadium on Saturday in a deal thought to be worth around £25-million.

It is now thought that the money raised by the Adebayor sale will be used to fund other Arsenal signings.

The Gunners have been linked with a move for Newcastle United striker Martins for the last year, and it was reported that Wenger had made bids for the Nigerian. However, no such move has yet taken place, but the rumours still circulate.

The latest speculation to hit the headlines is that the Gunners are willing to pay a cut-price £7-million for the Nigeria international.

The Magpies were relegated on the final day of last season, and this has led to much speculation about the futures of their top players.

Martins moving would allow a massive deduction from the wage bill at St James’ Park, and the club are reportedly eager to sell him to the Gunners.

However, Wenger has stated that the club have ample resources to cover for Adebayor, and he will not rush into any transfer this summer.

Tell us what you think!

A crowd of around 300 Blues fans were at the City of Manchester Stadium to greet the striker whose was named African Player of the Year for 2008.

The player was hugely impressed by his reception.

“It made me feel really welcome and special and I can’t wait to play for City’s fans and show them what I can do,” he declared after completing the bulk of the paperwork.

“I was born to play football and that is what I want to do. I have come here to make history for this club and those supporters. It what the chairman and the manager told me that they want too and I can’t wait to get started.

According to “Sports.co.uk” who were the first to report that Thomas Vermaelen would sign to Arsenal within 24 hours, Marouane Chamakh is also to sign and close a deal with Arsenal.

The 25 year old Moroccan will replace Emmanuel Adebayor who is set to departure for Manchester City for a reported £25m.

Sport.co.uk understands that Arsenal are in the final stages of completing a move for Bordeaux hitman Marouane Chamakh. According to a source close to the club the Gunners have agreed a fee with their French counterparts and are on the verge of concluding personal terms with the player.

Chamakh will replace Togo forward Emmanuel Adebayor who is expected to complete a £25 million move to Manchester City in the next 24 hours.

Frenchman Wenger has been linked with a move for the 25-year-old Moroccan since January but appears to have moved quickly now that the necessary finances have been freed up. Courted around the continent, Chamakh saw his star rise across Europe having netted 14 times for Laurent Blanc’s Ligue 1 championship winning side.

Chamakh admitted recently: “I want to play in the Premier League and a club like Arsenal would be a dream. If they were to come calling, I would certainly give them a positive answer.”

The Morocco international has scored 53 goals in almost 200 matches for Bordeaux since joining the club seven years ago, and Sport.co.uk expect the deal to be competed in the next coming days.

More to follow on this matter soon. Keep checking back.

It is a transfer possibility that fascinates the Arsenal faithful as much as Manchester City themselves and their fans.

But why have the world’s richest club switched attention to our humble Togolese after failing to lure a host of prominent strikers?

Maybe, just maybe, it is because no other Premier League striker has been more prolific against them.

Adebayor has scored a stunning four goals in his last two appearances against the blues – capping a brace in both home (April 2009) and away (February 2008) matches.

City have learned their lesson, and Mark Hughes will practice the theory of getting an enemy on your side.

Perhaps Tottenham – Adebayor’s goal-gifters – may have also contemplated a similar move for Arsenal’s unwanted man.

Well, here is a compilation of Adebayor’s haunting of City.

“I think there have been discussions between ourselves and Arsenal but as is my usual response to questions about players we haven’t yet signed, it’s not really the right time or place to discuss it,” said Hughes.

“Yes, there has been contact. There is a deal to be done, possibly. But it’s not been concluded as we speak here. Until that actually happens it’s not really the time or the place.

“There may well be opportunities that present themselves. Obviously there are areas of the team we’d still like to strengthen.

Those were Mark Hughes’ words of confirmation minutes ago that he has indeed began pursuit of Arsenal’s striker.

The outcome of yesterday’s discussion between both parties will certainly be announced soon, with Adebayor likely to make agreement for an Arsenal departure.

City’s boss made the statement during the press conference in which new signing Carlos Tevez was unveiled.

The Eastlands club have reportedly forced Arsenal’s hand with a whopping £25 million bid while Adebayor and his agent could well nod their heads to the £150,000-a-week wage offer at stake.
