Vermaelen: I joined this Club because I know Arsenal will be challenging for trophies

In his first brief interview as an Arsenal player, new signing Thomas Vermaelen expressed his thrill at been lured by Arsenal.
The 6ft defender has come as the apparent piece of puzzle that was missing from Arsene Wenger’s false title contenders and he is as delighted as the many who could not wait to witness his arrival which strengthens the squad.
Arsenal’s Kapellen-born man is more than excited about the prospect of tackling the ambitions and expectations of his new club.
And Vermaelen is adamant it is a bright new dawn at Arsenal from today.
“I’m just so happy to be joining Arsenal. This is a great Club with a world class manager, high quality players and a fantastic stadium. Everything is set up for Arsenal to be very successful for years to come and I joined this Club because I know Arsenal will be challenging for trophies.
“I have had a good taste of the Champions League during my time with Ajax and this is something I am looking forward to experiencing again with Arsenal. I’m also looking forward to playing in the English Premier League, which for me, is the best league in the world. Also, I just want to assure the Arsenal fans that I will give everything for this Club and I hope we can enjoy winning some trophies together next season.”

to be honest would like toure n gallas to stay, djourou should stay too, silvestre shud stay just to provide mentoring to the like of djourou n song during cup game, n senderos if mr Wenger allow it, i take him my self to Fiorentina and ask for Melo in return n i dont mind paying the rest off the fee my self, with an instalment plan…lol…
