You do not ponder on the effects of the world’s economic fiasco and how the football world is gradually being derailed by obscene spending if you are Florentino Perez. What you will ponder though is how Real Madrid’s new galaxy can be organized by August.

Only Arsene Wenger may elude Perez’s luring tactics which has worked so well on the traditionally tight-palmed AC Milan and rarely open-armed United.

Even they were convinced to sell for once. The latter of that duo never had a reason to, until 80 million of them were unleashed in notes on Wednesday morning.

Manchester United were persuaded and so may capital peers Arsenal.

We all will testify without hesitation that Arsenal’s business men are often allured by any double-digit monetary offer. The bottom line is; Arsene Wenger is far more undisturbed than Ferguson when tempted to sell.

“You can call us if you have an inquiry” is Arsene’s old cliche and mind you, with Real Madrid an enthusiast of Cesc Fabregas’ talent, that call may be very imminent.

It is a myth that Fabregas has been Spain-bound since Henry jumped shipped and headed there. Arsenal’s darling has been linked to the Spaniards more often than Kaka, and was the premier partner to Ronaldo in Madrid’s proposed acquisitions from England.

What does baffle is the no sniffing and huffing we have sensed from Perez for Fabregas. What there have been though, are talks of admiration for the player before last season even concluded.

Thus, with their economical prowess, it is indeed up to Madrid to lure Fabregas. The fate of our skipper leans more on whether Madrid may want to fit Cesc in the “new era of galacticos”, rather than whether Arsenal will keep shop shut. Because to be honest, they will not.

Even a quarter of the amount Perez coughed up for Ronaldo may be enough to drag off yet another Premier League celebrity.

Hopefully, we will not be waking up to read this sort of update on Arsenal.com anytime soon.

At least not this summer.

Good thing Cesc is sill affirming his commitment to the club.

    In your dreams!!!

Well I see a comment asking why this article was written despite Cesc saying he will stay on Arsenal.com was deleted. Very nice.

I’ve been an Arsenal fan for years and it’s a shame we’re now full of blogs like this one written by 16-year olds who only want to generate money from them. Am I wrong in saying this is the same blog who published the photo of Cesc lying down injured yesterday with a nice “PHOTO” in caps in the title?

Until MY message gets deleted, all I have to say is that the captain will stay.

  3. ritesh says:

sell him if we get that kind of money

  4. steve far says:

How much are madrid paying you to start a story in our media for them m8?

  5. Neal says:

No Arsenal fan can honestly believe there is the slightest possibility that Cesc will end up in Madrid. He’s Barcelona through and through! If he returns to Spain, which is quite likely at some point, it will be to Barca, no one else!

  6. Henry says:

    riddles, riddles, riddles…. use english!

  7. aussie_gonner says:

80m and I would sell cesc without a second thought. Cesc is very important to us but no one is bigger than the team and 80m would do wonders to our team. We have Nasri who can replace cesc and rambo eventually..

    What riddles?

By the way, this is not to start any shit up, it’s inevitable to reason when you see what’s going on around us. Money is what’s working if you don’t know. And our club wouldn’t mind.

  9. billybigballs says:

Cesc would not go to Madrid.

As someone raised in Barca’s academy the only team he would consider going to in Spain is the one where all our players seem to end up.

Not that he would mind, he’s stated that repeatedly and Wenger has said no departures this summer.

  10. Reece says:

i personally feel that ramsey was bought to prepare for when cesc leaves for barca. so either way cesc will be leaving sooner rather than later, maybe 2 years at most

  11. futballyank says:

good heavens! summer transfer period is just mayhem.
relax people! and what’s with all the in-fighting amongst arsenal supporters … like a pack of old ladies!

  12. futballyank says:

oh, and good point aussie gonner, about the 80 mil. at least.

  13. fabrepass says:

    stop talking rubbish! fuck u

  14. Aiman says:

140m for both kaka and ronaldo? perez can buy arsenal for god sake. even if we got 50m for cesc, that is sure alot of cash. but do cesc wants to go there? cesc will face the utmost battle for position at real madrid.

  15. steve far says:

I see Cesc the same way I see steve gerrard, a man of principle. Young age yes, but an old mature hat. i couldnt say the same of cristiano.

  16. Gooner 85 says:

    didn’t publish my earlier comment i see…

  17. brdgunner says:

Cesc has said he will stay. Fuck 80m lets continue with a club with principles like we have.

  18. dan says:

Cesc would be perfect for madrid, we should def sell him, 50 million. Too bad wenger’s too daft to do it.

Football players are the least trusted people. Playing professional football is their livelihood and obviously money will be their main motivation. One moment they declare their commitment and the very next, off they go. Have seen too many of these incident to fully trust them. I have come to accept it with an opened mind no matter who comes and goes. Never put high hopes on anybody or we shall be terribly disappointed. I support Arsenal Football Club and no player or manager is bigger than that. As for Cesc, whether he stays or not, I shall move on and will not be affected a single bit.

this guy has confirmed once again that he is committed to arsenal and nothing will make him leave the club now.
