Adebayor left guessing for success

Emmanuel Adebayor was equally bemused about another season of failure after been ousted from the Champions League by United.
Tuesday’s 3-1 defeat at Emirates Stadium means Arsenal will end the season without silverware for the fourth successive campaign.
During his post-match interview yesterday, Adebayor was also pondering why the club is not scaling great heights again, and he admits not having a single clue of how that patch will be put to an end next season.
“It has been a long time [without a trophy] but I joined in 2006 and I feel sorry for not winning anything in three years,” Adebayor said.
“Now for next season I don’t know how we are going to do to be honest. I don’t know how we are going to manage.
“What we are going to try to do is score with our head, our toes, whatever. We just have to try and bring trophies to this club.”
We have to start afresh next season. Leaving the past behind, Arsenal will need to move forward to glory. To begin with, Arsene Wenger must remain with this club. There isn’t any manager in the world who is capable of managing a club like Arsenal. Next, players who are proud to put on the Arsenal’s jersey. Players like these will play with body and soul. Thirdly, Arsenal needs a couple of top class players in addition the existing players. Forth, get rid of dead woods in the squad. Sell them and reinvest in quality players. Fifth, the new management( board) must give full support to the manager and players.Lastly, us fans must play our part as well to stay loyal to the team whether in good or bad times.

It is true though, Adebayor is not able to create chances for himself but rather relying solely on service. IMO Adebayor or RVP are gone this summer. Arshavin has proven himself to be a monster in the PL. He is best in the supporting striker Bergkamp role and IMO, not since Dennis have we had a player more capable of filling that spot. There is absolutely no sense in wasting his proven talent at that position. Why put him on the flank when we have other players to do the job? Let him create chances up front and pick out the runs and overlaps, while Fabregas pulls the strings from deeper in the midfield (where he is most effective IMO) and making the most of his passing range. I think going into next year you will see RVP and Arshavin leading the line or Adebayor and Arshavin.
As for the match, I thought the team selection was pretty good- although I still would have put Eboue at LB. Gibbs has performed admirably this year and his slip surely was not the defining moment of the tie. But- you knew he was going to cost us a goal at some point and it came at the worst possible time. But like I said- that goal was not the defining moment. We were beaten soundly through two legs, no doubt about it. We are simply not good enough to beat United in these types of matches. If its any consolation, most teams aren’t. The fact of the matter is that we have some work to do if we want to get back to this point and give ourselves a chance to progress.

My own comments had received compliments, insults and abuse as well at Arsenal Spot. To me,its no big deal because I knew these things would happen. People do have their own mindset. I don’t give a damn to all those insults and abuses because I know they have their rights to voice especially here being a public forum.
